The Russian government has announced that Lil’ (not-so-Lil’ these days – someone should draw the lot to tell him he’s not looking so good these days and that it might possibly hurt his image to be so fat when so many North Koreans are starving) Kim will be going to Moscow in May to commemorate 70 years since the end of WWII. The Soviets, of course, created the DPRK with Kim’s grandfather, so the historical link is real, especially now that Putin doing all he can to revive the Cold War. And with North Korea’s relationship with China souring, Pyongyang is desperately seeking a new patron. Why would Russia want such a basket case? Look what Iran is doing with its bad boy proxies in the Middle East. For more, please see my interview yesterday with CNN’s Jake Tapper linked here.
